strange that the BFI selection of “ten great films” about forgers and fakes omitted ‘Holy Matrimony’, an 1943 wittier take on the subject with Monty Woolley & Gracie Fields
One of the rules of list-making is that the results always omit somebody’s favourite. I could also complain about the Ishiguro list of train films which misses out The Narrow Margin (the 1952 original, that is, although the remake isn’t too bad either).
