  1. Art usually beats genre when I’m comparing films, so Murnau over Ingram in this instance. (Although I think Buster Keaton had the pair of them beat in 1926 when he released The General.) I watched Faust again recently so I think I may give The Magician another go, it’s a long time since I saw it.
