It’s brave of Heller to admit never having heard of Prestige. I wonder if he’s heard of and more importantly seen Blue Note covers? There’s some great artwork on those Prestige sleeves. The way he describes the act of playing a record makes me feel ancient, but then it was a long time ago when that was a common experience.
From what I know of Heller’s career history he seems to have been more of a rock enthusiast. I imagine he’d know about Blue Note, however, those covers have been very influential:

Yes, indeed! I hadn’t seen a lot of those. Some artists lending themselves an air of sophistication which, I’m guessing, is hardly warranted.
