The Salomé paintings of Caroline Smith

Seduction.

One of a series of paintings by a British artist, and what a great series it is with echoes of ancient art as well as Gustav Klimt. Also further evidence that this theme isn’t a wholly masculine preoccupation.

  1. Her artwork is great. Has a very Voodoo-ish quality about. I could easily imagine a faded mural resembling one of her paintings on the wall of some old building in New Orleans. In some ways kind of resembles the paintings on the walls in Thelema Abbey, only she can actually paint.

  2. Heh, yes Crowley would have been better off getting a proper artist to do the decorating.
