The art of Arik Roper

Semyaza (2007).

Witch Banner (2006): Witch South x Southwest banner.

Eyehategod NYC (2005): NYC show poster.
Arik Roper produces much band artwork and design (including for Boris who I’ve been listening to a lot this week). He’s also part of the splendid Arthur posse. Go thou to his work and marvel.

Leah Hirsig lives on.
Creature poking its’ tounge out in Witch Banner reminds me of the dragon as drawn by Zander Cannon in Alan’s Smax the Barbarian

first image of Brian Froud’s Goblins of the Labyrinth but much darker

I used to have that famous photo of Leah on my wall.
If you look at Arik’s site you’ll see that his work is generally more overgrown Roger Dean-style things than Brian Froud. Froud’s fairies would probably get eaten by something there.
