One of a number of photographs from the Apollo missions being taken out of cold storage in Arizona and scanned at very high resolution, should you need a 1.3 GB image of the lunar surface. I was totally obsessed with the Apollo missions when I was a kid so I’m looking forward to more of this kind of imagery, especially at super-high res.

This makes me think of the Apollo film, with the Eno soundtrack…
Off topic: I’m working my way through Edmund White’s “Genet”. It’s quite the weighty tome! (“Chants d’Amour” got me on a Genet kick, and it’s been quite a while. I want to see what the adult me makes of it all!)

I’ve not read the Genet biog, it’s one of those daunting doorstops I keep intending to get to eventually. I got a bit tired of White’s fiction (although his new one sounds good) but read a great couple of books he wrote about Paris recently so was thinking again I should give the Genet volume a chance. I’m usually more interested in people’s work than their lives but Genet’s life was something out of the ordinary, to say the least.
