Probably for as long as people remain interested. Being fascinated by both directors, I certainly don’t mind. In fairness to McDowell, I think the Anderson stuff is justified since their careers were intertwined for a long time–Anderson also directed him on the stage.
Anderson was one of the most original British filmmakers of recent times but it’s only since his death people have been able to discuss his life in any detail.

christ, how long can mcdowell keep dining out on lindsay anderson and stanley kubrick stories? honestly, it’s getting tiresome.
