The moon is a perfect yellow very often here in rural Iowa, and if one is lucky enough (or unlucky, however one may view it) to live or be present in one of the more backward and remote corners of the state, where there are no obtrusive city lights, it dyes the clouds, the landscape, and perhaps any animals (people and otherwise) about a subtle tinge of giallo. This is the sickest picture of the moon I’ve seen in a while. It reminds me very much of the ‘Thief’ games, if you know of them, I occasionally obsess over them. If it were a bit larger, I could swallow a glass of absinthe and be perfectly content just sitting in place and geeking out over the picture. The atmosphere seems rural, yet I can see different lights near its bottom, or perhaps this is just the sunset being filtered between the trees on the horizon.
Thanks. I’m not a big games player so I haven’t come across the Thief games. And we’re in the middle of a city here, those are the rich neighbours’ trees at the back of the house. You can see more or less the same view here:
