In October Wave Hill will be staging a series of bee- and honey-related events, details of which can be found on their <a href=\"http:\/\/wavehill.org\/about\/documents\/Hive%20Culture%20Exhibition%20Opens%20at%20Wave%20Hill%20September%2013,%202011.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">press release<\/a> (PDF).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acagalleries.com\/exhibitions\/upcoming\/shamanic-illuminations-the-art-of-pablo-amaringo-alex-grey-and-mieshiel\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.johncoulthart.com\/feuilleton\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/amaringo.jpg\" alt=\"amaringo.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>El Encanto de las Piedras by Pablo Amaringo.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Over at the ACA Galleries, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acagalleries.com\/exhibitions\/upcoming\/shamanic-illuminations-the-art-of-pablo-amaringo-alex-grey-and-mieshiel\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Shamanic Illuminations<\/em><\/a> which opens on Thursday will feature the art of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pabloamaringo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pablo Amaringo<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alexgrey.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Alex Grey<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mieshiel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mieshiel<\/a>. There&#8217;s little detail at the moment on their website but they have a preview of the paintings including a number of Amaringo&#8217;s vivid, ayahuasca-inspired works which are psychedelic in every sense of the word. <em>Shamanic Illuminations<\/em> runs from September 15 to October 22.
