These photos are from the excellent set of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/brooklyn_museum\/sets\/72157604656089762\/with\/2486834840\/\" target=\"_blank\">William Henry Goodyear views<\/a> presented by the Brooklyn Museum at Flickr. If it wasn&#8217;t for the people visible in the picture below (and the Parisian lamp-post) you wouldn&#8217;t know these were from the exposition at all.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/brooklyn_museum\/2486834534\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.johncoulthart.com\/feuilleton\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/exposition2.jpg\" alt=\"exposition2.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.archive.org\/details\/lexpositiondusi00quan\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.johncoulthart.com\/feuilleton\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/exposition3.jpg\" alt=\"exposition3.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Another trace of Cambodia appeared via the Tour of the  World exhibition where a variety of &#8220;exotic&#8221; buildings were forced  to occupy the same plot of ground. This group does appear in the  guides, the view here being from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.archive.org\/details\/lexpositiondusi00quan\" target=\"_blank\"><em>L&#8217;Exposition du Si\u00e8cle<\/em><\/a> by Albert Quantin.
