The film is presented by Jonathan Katz, curator of the <em>Hide\/Seek<\/em> gay art show whose controversial history <a href=\"https:\/\/www.johncoulthart.com\/feuilleton\/2010\/12\/03\/ecce-homo-redux\/\">was recounted here<\/a> in December. The <em>NYT<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2011\/03\/20\/magazine\/mag-20Bidgood-t.html\" target=\"_blank\">ran a short piece<\/a> about Bidgood, now 77 and not the first artist to be disappointed by his past work; they also have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/slideshow\/2011\/03\/20\/magazine\/bidgood.html?ref=magazine\" target=\"_blank\">a Bidgood slideshow<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.thenewstribune.com\/arts\/2011\/03\/14\/tacoma-art-museum-to-show-controversial-gaylesbian-portrait-show-in-2012\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Hide\/Seek<\/em><\/a>, meanwhile, is now a touring exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Related: the delightful Drew Daniel of <a href=\"http:\/\/brainwashed.com\/matmos\/\" target=\"_blank\">Matmos<\/a> (and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brainwashed.com\/spt\/news.html\" target=\"_blank\">Soft Pink Truth<\/a>) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buttmagazine.com\/blog\/tips\/uranus\/\" target=\"_blank\">posing in a jockstrap<\/a> at the Club Uranus, San Francisco circa 1990; he also used to go-go dance <a href=\"http:\/\/www.indexmagazine.com\/interviews\/Matmos-2.html\" target=\"_blank\">wearing a fish<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Isle of Man may have one of the oldest parliaments in the world but its laws have often been out of step with its neighbour across the Irish Sea. This week the island joined the rest of the UK in <a href=\"http:\/\/news.pinkpaper.com\/NewsStory\/5031\/18\/03\/2011\/civil-partnerships-become-law-in-the-isle-of-man.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">granting civil partnerships to its citizens<\/a>.
