(1889).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Two samples from <a href=\"http:\/\/gallica.bnf.fr\/Search?ArianeWireIndex=index&amp;lang=FR&amp;q=odilon+redon&amp;p=1&amp;f_typedoc=images\" target=\"_blank\">a collection of Odilon Redon <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">etchings<\/span> lithographs at Gallica<\/a>, an archive I&#8217;ve only recently begun to look at. A shame that the larger images scale up the content and the empty margin, often leaving a very small picture in the centre not much bigger than thumbnail size. Oh, well&#8230; On the plus side there&#8217;s a portrait I hadn&#8217;t seen before of <a href=\"http:\/\/gallica.bnf.fr\/ark:\/12148\/btv1b6951044q.r=odilon+redon.langFR\" target=\"_blank\">Des Esseintes<\/a> from Huysmans&#8217; <em>\u00c0 Rebours<\/em>, the book which in 1884 introduced Redon&#8217;s work to a wider public.
