I love the contrast between the dizzying floor design (created with vinyl tape) and the rather dour Corinthian columns in Jim Lambie&#8217;s installation. I believe the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/erase\/2410722796\/sizes\/l\/\" target=\"_blank\">Flickr photo<\/a> above shows the work being prepared.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.glasgowmuseums.com\/venue\/showExhibition.cfm?venueid=3&amp;itemid=195\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Forever Changes<\/em><\/a>, which also includes some of the artist&#8217;s playful sculptures, is at the Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow, as part of the Glasgow International arts festival until September 29, 2008. <a href=\"http:\/\/living.scotsman.com\/features\/Best-foot-forward--Jim.3974944.jp\" target=\"_blank\">A review<\/a> for <em>The Scotsman<\/em> describes some of its details. Lambie likes his floor coverings, having previously produced dazzlingly vibrant works such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/meowmeowbutt\/176530890\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>ZOBOP<\/em><\/a> which you can see being created in a little time-lapse movie <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hirshhorn.si.edu\/podcast\/archive\/Lambie_final.mov\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nothing to do with the late Arthur Lee, well&#8230;not directly anyway.
