I&#8217;ve noticed increasing instances of this with no accompanying explanation of what the term actually refers to. <a href=\"https:\/\/musicianshq.com\/why-is-a-synth-pad-called-a-pad\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rob Wreglesworth<\/a> has the answer.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 At Dangerous Minds: <a href=\"https:\/\/dangerousminds.net\/comments\/richard_h._kirk_on_cabaret_voltaires_first_new_album_since_1994\" target=\"_blank\">Richard H.
