Ta, all!<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 New\/old music: <a href=\"http:\/\/thequietus.com\/articles\/23728-best-compilations-reissues-mixes-of-the-year-2017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Quietus reissues, etc, of the year<\/a>, new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.residentadvisor.net\/tracks\/886608\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pye Corner Audio<\/a>, Soul Jazz presents\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/soundsoftheuniverse.com\/sjr\/product\/experimental-german-rock-and-german-music-197181\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deutsche Elektronische Musik 3<\/a><\/em>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/annabel-lee.bandcamp.com\/album\/the-cleansing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Cleansing<\/em><\/a> is a new album by Annabel (lee).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0Mixes of the week: Seeing The Forest For The Trees by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mixcloud.com\/GreggHermetech\/hermetechs-happy-hour-02-psych-folk-seeing-the-forest-for-the-trees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gregg Hermetech<\/a>, FACT mix 631 by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.factmag.com\/2017\/12\/12\/zola-jesus-fact-mix\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zola Jesus<\/a>, and Secret Thirteen Mix 240 by <a href=\"http:\/\/secretthirteen.org\/stm-240-restive-plaggona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Restive Plaggona<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Were a normally sexed person to enter such an establishment, he might be puzzled to see so many finely dressed men sitting there with soldiers, though he would find nothing particularly offensive. The friendships between homosexuals and soldiers forged here over sausage, salad and beer frequently endure for the full term of service, and often longer. The soldier returns home, living as a married farmer far from his beloved Berlin garrison, but many a uranian still receives freshly killed quarry as a token of friendship. Ostensibly straight soldiers supplementing their income by having sex with &#8220;uranians&#8221; was still a common thing decades later, as detailed in John Lehmann&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/5651796-in-the-purely-pagan-sense\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">In The Purely Pagan Sense<\/a>.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u2022 <em>The Cremator<\/em> (1968) a film by Juraj Herz, was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.johncoulthart.com\/feuilleton\/2013\/08\/20\/the-cremator-by-juraj-herz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reviewed on these pages<\/a> a while ago. It&#8217;s now out on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.secondrundvd.com\/release_cremator_bd.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">region-free blu-ray<\/a>.
