Following their collection of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerforvisualmusic.org\/DVD.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Oskar Fischinger films<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerforvisualmusic.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Center for Visual Music<\/a> releases <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerforvisualmusic.org\/JBDVD.htm\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Jordan Belson: 5 Essential Films<\/em><\/a> in March. Fischinger worked on <em>Fantasia<\/em> and Belson also exerted some small influence on Hollywood with the special sequences he created for Donald Cammell&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0075931\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Demon Seed<\/em><\/a> (imaginings of the film&#8217;s Proteus computer) and Philip Kaufman&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0086197\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>The Right Stuff<\/em><\/a> (the vortex seen by Sam Shephard at the edge of the stratosphere).
