According to <a href=\"http:\/\/englishrussia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">English Russia<\/a> the crew are a group of urban explorers from St Petersburg. The English Russia pages have <a href=\"http:\/\/englishrussia.com\/2013\/12\/29\/infiltration-to-pripyat\/\" target=\"_blank\">two<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/englishrussia.com\/2014\/01\/30\/home-lost-forever\/\" target=\"_blank\">sets<\/a> of photos with English annotations while the explorers themselves document their adventures to Pripyat (and elsewhere) in Russian at LiveJournal, <a href=\"http:\/\/samnamos.livejournal.com\/54808.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/samnamos.livejournal.com\/56700.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. (Google Translate works pretty well for the captions there.) Great photos in all of their posts. The shot above would be ideal as a wraparound cover for an edition of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/12851913-roadside-picnic\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Roadside Picnic<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Official visits to the area now seem more common, and no doubt avoid the hazard of having to take drinking water from potentially toxic rivers. The Pripyat website advises on <a href=\"http:\/\/pripyat.com\/en\/articles\/pripyat-four-seasons.html\" target=\"_blank\">the pros and cons of the different seasons<\/a>.
