Koen&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.viktorkoen.com\/exhibitions\/toys\/F_toys.html\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Dark Peculiar Toys<\/em><\/a> will be showing throughout October at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unitedphotoindustries.com\/gallery.html\" target=\"_blank\">United Photo Industries<\/a>, Brooklyn, New York. This month there&#8217;s also an exhibition of dismembered toys showing at the October Gallery in London. Benin artist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.octobergallery.co.uk\/artists\/quenum\/index.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">G\u00e9rard Quenum<\/a>&#8216;s salvaged doll heads and limbs are repurposed in a series of sculptures he calls <em>Dolls Never Die<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.viktorkoen.com\/exhibitions\/toys\/F_toys.html\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.johncoulthart.com\/feuilleton\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/koen2.jpg\" alt=\"koen2.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Toy No. 15<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toy No. 20 Two prints by artist Viktor Koen who was born in Greece but currently lives in the US.
