Sleeve by Neville Brody.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The first volume of <em>The Graphic Canon<\/em> will be published in May by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sevenstories.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Seven Stories Press<\/a>, a collection of comic strip adaptations and illustrations edited by Russ Kick. The anthology has already picked up some attention at the <em>Guardian<\/em>\u2014<a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/books\/2012\/feb\/08\/western-canon-rewritten-graphic-novel\" target=\"_blank\">Western canon to be rewritten as three-volume graphic novel<\/a>\u2014and <em>Publishers&#8217; Weekly<\/em>\u2014<a href=\"http:\/\/www.publishersweekly.com\/pw\/by-topic\/book-news\/comics\/article\/50512-graphic-canon-comics-meet-the-classics.html\" target=\"_blank\">Graphic Canon: Comics Meet the Classics<\/a>. I know <a href=\"http:\/\/eddiecampbell.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">someone<\/a> who&#8217;ll bristle at the lazy use of &#8220;graphic novel&#8221;. <em>The Graphic Canon<\/em> isn&#8217;t anything of the sort, it&#8217;s a three-volume voyage through world literature presented in graphic form with a list of contributors including Robert Crumb, Will Eisner, Molly Crabapple, Rick Geary, and Roberta Gregory. My contribution is a very condensed adaptation of <em>The Picture of Dorian Gray<\/em> that will appear in volume 2. More about that closer to the publication date.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 LTM Records announces a vinyl reissue for <a href=\"http:\/\/theworldsamess.blogspot.com\/2012\/02\/23-skidoo-seven-songs-reissue-london.html\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Seven Songs<\/em> (1982) by 23 Skidoo<\/a>, an album produced by Ken Thomas, Genesis P Orridge &amp; Peter Christopherson that still sounds like nothing else.
