A shame about the high price on the latter but I&#8217;m sure it looks wonderful.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blu-ray.com\/movies\/Wings-Blu-ray\/33615\/\" target=\"_blank\">Blu-ray release of <em>Wings<\/em><\/a> (1927), William A. Wellman&#8217;s silent drama about air aces during the First World War, has prompted renewed attention for the passionate relationship between its two male leads, especially <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=U-P4e1jtve0\" target=\"_blank\">this deathbed scene<\/a> which is tagged as the first same-sex kiss in cinema. That&#8217;s arguable, of course, but it&#8217;s certainly a touching moment.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 From 2009: <a href=\"http:\/\/therumpus.net\/2009\/08\/searching-the-library-of-babel\/\" target=\"_blank\">Searching the Library of Babel<\/a>, a list of all the stories in all 33 volumes of <em>The Library of Babel<\/em>, a 1979 Spanish language anthology of fantastic literature edited by Jorge Luis Borges.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Lots of newpaper attention in the past week for the not-so-fresh news that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/life-style\/health-and-families\/health-news\/could-magic-mushrooms-help-the-fight-against-depression-6293679.html\" target=\"_blank\">magic mushrooms could help fight depression<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/news\/psychedelic-chemical-subdues-brain-activity-1.9878\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Nature<\/em><\/a> went into the detail of the latest studies.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/music\/2012\/jan\/22\/air-voyage-dans-lune-interview\" target=\"_blank\">French group Air<\/a> have written the score for a rare colour print of\u00a0<em>Le voyage dans la lune<\/em> (1902) by Georges M\u00e9li\u00e8s. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PL3102305C872E9EF7\" target=\"_blank\">Air&#8217;s YouTube channel<\/a> has extracts.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 From 1989: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lrb.co.uk\/v11\/n20\/angela-carter\/the-merchant-of-shadows\" target=\"_blank\"><em>The Merchant of Shadows<\/em><\/a> by Angela Carter.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theparisreview.org\/blog\/2012\/01\/23\/ghost-river\/\" target=\"_blank\">Will Hunt<\/a> on the Ghost River of Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theparisreview.org\/blog\/2012\/01\/26\/selected-letters-of-william-s-burroughs\/\" target=\"_blank\">Selected Letters of William S.
