  1. Purcarete sounds like a Romanian Terry Gilliam, there seem to be many unique artists flooding out of that country now. One of the better metal albums I’ve listened to lately came from a Romanian band – Negura Bunget. John Zorn has made some recent collaborations with Romanian artists, though to be fair, he collaborates with everyone, and frankly, Zorn’s changes in style are so random, that one who claimed to enjoy everything or even most things he does, would be nothing more than a hipster / poser in my book.

It would be nice to see Purcarete bring this production to um, Des Moines, but I something tells this won’t happen.

  2. Yeah, I’d love to see this as well although if it’s staged anywhere again it’ll most likely be in London. Despite being a big city, Manchester rarely gets anything that interesting. The only reason it’s in Edinburgh is because the festival is running.

  3. It wouldn’t be too much of a hassle for you to drive to London and see it though would it? I don’t how close Manchester is to London, nor how well the highway system is set up there. I guess if the roads, or the drivers for that matter, are as awful as they are over here, I could easily see why you wouldn’t be inclined to go.

  4. I don’t have a car and even if I did, driving into London is a short-ish distance by US standards (180 miles) but the motorways are so stuffed with traffic you’d be sat in queues for hours. I used to stay with a friend when going down there but that’s not possible now so train fare + hotel + whatever other expenses are involved means it has to be really worth the effort.
