		<description>Lloyd-Webber does indeed own &quot;A Contradiction&quot;.  I saw it at the Royal Academy show of his spectacular collection in 2003.  It was a huge exhibition, with a lot of Millais (including some lovely landscapes), Burne-Jones and Waterstone, as well as de Morgan pots, a wonderful piano covered with wild roses in gesso-work and a rather poor Picasso.

The painting is rather small (about 65 x 70 cm) and was accompanied by a digitized image that allowed viewers to zoom into the almost literally microscopic detail, which was barely visible with the naked eye.  I especially remember the tiny figures trapped in a dewdrop on one figure&#039;s hat.</description>
