The producer (?) of the show told Ellison that would be too expensive to film, and showed him the Bradbury. Ellison agreed that this would work even better. I have a vague recollection that Ellison saw the Bradbury as having different levels with different architectural styles representing -- or evoking -- different eras, but I might misremember. Ellison wrote this in one of his books, maybe one of the <I>Glass Teat</i>s.
