Yes, the Poles are great too, especially Franciszek Starowieyski. Very radical interpretations. The only reason they haven't featured here is they seem to have been mentioned quite a lot recently on other sites.

hi John, thanks for the link, I agree no good sites on Amsel. I have a small selection of his works in original, almost everything of the 70's. Are you familiar with East Europe movie posters? great pieces of art there as well.

Hi Sebastiane. Yeah, Amsel is great as well, in fact I have an original poster of his, one of the designs for Chinatown. A shame there doesn't seem to be a decent site for his work although there's a good page here:

I'd not seen the Comfort of Strangers one before but I like its faux-Klimt style.

His famous Apocalypse Now one with the big sun was an image I borrowed for The Call of Cthulhu:

I remember seeing The comfort of Strangers on the big screen but don't remember seeing that poster anywhere.
The My Fair Lady one on his webpage is too well known to need reproducing. It's used on the cover of the DVD I have.
I think I like the Camelot one the best although the Apocalypse Now one is pretty striking too.
